Bird's-eye view of San Gabriel Canyon during the construction of the dam. The canyon floor has been cleared of gravel, and trucks and buildings are visible on the site. The San Gabriel Dam is a rock-fill dam on the San Gabriel River in Los Angeles County, California, within the Angeles National Forest. It was under construction from 1932 to completion in 1939.
