Three men are raising the level of a tarp-covered truck with a wooden beam used as a lever in the middle of the street. Another truck with 2 kerosene lamps perched on it is on the right and sections of large pipe are on the side of the street on the far right. A pile of dirt is behind the truck. Signs on and around the commercial buildings read "United States Tires, Sales & Service Depot, Lloyds Service Station," "Quaker State Motor Oil," "Gilmore Gasoline," "Sanitary Kitchen, C. Soper..,...Ice Cream," "Radio Shop, Hardware," and "S. C. Weaver Const. Co."
