Text from negative sleeve: 1740. Aalden Rhoads [sic] - 13. Shoots at Prowler. 8/2/35. [Stamped:] Aug 22 1935.
Text from newspaper caption: Quick Thinking Puts Intruder to Flight. Sixteen-year old Alden Rhoades remembered two things early yesterday morning: his father's new motorcycle and a suspected thief's legs. So nobody was killed and the bike was saved. The youth is shown here aiming his father's .22-caliber rifle with which he defended his home against a prowler.
