Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Police Captain W. M. Littell with six underprivileged boys from Hollenbeck Heights, photographed at Hollenbeck Police Station. Each boy holds a ticket stub printed with an individual's name and address. They are about to place these stubs into a barrel. Sign attached at top reads: "Drop Stubs Here for Boys Benefit." Further down the hall, a sign below one for the men's toilet reads: "Detectives & Records." A different photograph of Captain W. M. Littell taken on the same occasion appears with the article, "Gee Kids, We're Goin' to the Fair! Police Will Give Fair Trip to 1000 Children," Los Angeles Times, 21 Aug. 1935.
