Genevieve sits on the arm of her husband's chair, smiling at her husband and placing her arms around her shoulders. Vince holds his fist underneath his eye, as if he is pretending to punch himself in the face.
Photograph appears with the article, "Vince Barnett, on trial, Hears Story of Scuffle," Los Angeles Times, 10 July 1935: 19.
Mr. and Mrs. Barnett were arrested at the R.-K.-O. Theater during a riotous incident where a crowd was tearing down lobby displays and the couple resisted arrest by two police officers.
Text from newspaper caption: Vincent Barnett, Hollywood "ribber," and his wife Genevieve, in Municipal Court yesterday on intoxication charge. Barnett declares arresting officer slapped a smile off his face.
