Related to "Man Killed in Fight at Beer Parlor," Los Angeles Times, 24 Jul 1935: A3. William Burns, proprietor of a beer parlor, shot and killed Arthur Romero in what he claimed was self-defense. Detective Lieutenant Ray Giese (left) appears to be questioning William Burns in front of a desk. They are both seated. A wire in-basket sits on the desk. Giese wears a straw hat and striped tie with a tie clip and his suit jacket is unbuttoned. He holds a small notebook in his lap with both hands. Burns wears a button down shirt with his shirt sleeves rolled up and his top button undone. They are turned in their chairs, facing each other.
