Story related to photograph appears with the article, "Rocks Sold As Medicine," Los Angeles Times, 27 July 1935: A12.
60-year-old retired lawyer Milton Shepardson has been found guilty of practicing medicine without a license, even though Shepardson contends that he is only a miner and rock salesman, offering through his rocks cures for various ailments. Judge Curtis has indicated that Shepardson's sentence will include probation since no one has been harmed by the treatment.
Shepardson is a man with white hair and circular spectacles. He holds in each hand an oddly shaped rock.
