Barbara and Dick Halladay walk home hand-in-hand, Barbara with Sport, a dog they selected from the "Paradise" animal shelter after their grandmother won them a dog by writing to KRKD.
Text from newspaper caption: Pedigrees Mean Nothing to This Trio. Barbara and Dick Halladay are shown en route home after a visit to "paradise," the animal shelter, from which Sport gladly accompanied them to their home. A letter from their grandmother to KRKD won the pet for the children. Pedigrees, a dog's badge of royalty, mean nothing to this trio.
