A group of fifteen men of different ages stand clustered around the American flag and the American Legion flag, each of them wearing their veterans' hats.
A post of the American Legion has been made up entirely of Japanese men who will be travelling to Fresno for the California State convention for ex-service men.

Text from newspaper caption: The American Legion's only Japanese post left Los Angeles yesterday for the Legion State convention at Fresno. Here is a group of its members: left to right, front row. Color Bearer S. Iida, Commander Karl K. Iwanaga, Vice-Commander I. K. Sano, Adjutant T. Koseki, J. Omri and Standard Bearer W. Tanara. The post is named after Commodore Perry.
