Mr. Stump came to California 25 years ago. He bought and operated The Messenger at Monrovia as well as The News at South Pasadena. He was political editor and writer of the Los Angeles Evening Press and was also associated with the Chamber of Commerce publication Southern California Business. He leaves behind his wife and daughter Mrs. Roy Tayne.
