The men wear identification tags around their necks with the names of famous historical figures relative to the area. Civic leaders and public officials portrayed early-day characters in a procession from Avila adobe to Casa la Golondrina. Dedication ceremonies were conducted, as well as a concert, athletic events and a night festival that concluded the celebration.
