Edsel Ford, president of the Ford Motor Company, attended a luncheon in Los Angeles at the Athletic Club, along with Ira B. Groves and W. R. Beatty, manager and assistant manager of the Long Beach Ford plant. Ford visited the Long Beach plant the same day.
