San Gabriel, the oldest Christian community in Los Angeles County, is host to the Southland in a three-day festival celebrating her 164th birthday anniversary.
Roy Steel and Captain E. D. Ayres share the driver's seat. Thomas Workman Temple sits elevated above them on the roof of the stagecoach. Charlene looks out at the cameraman from her open door. Standing beside the coach are Gabriela and Dorothy, with an unidentified man standing near with a hand on Dorothy's back. Dorothy, Gabriela, and Charlene all wear white dresses. Gabriela wears a matching headdress and a sash over her chest.
