Miss Hilda Parvey, writer, claimed Earl Taylor induced her to pay him $50 under promises that he would sell her writing, and that a mysterious effort was made to poison her. Madam Nan Kee, writer, claimed Earl Taylor induced her to pay him $90 under promises of selling her manuscript, and that attempts had been made to kidnap her and that a mysterious assailant had fired a shot at her through her home. Mr. Taylor was acquitted by the jury on October 14, 1935.
