Newspaper caption: Here is section of the southeast wing of the Bel-Air home of George A. Hormel, meat packer, which burglar selected in gaining entrance to master bedroom on second floor. Officers believe he climbed to the tiled roof by using the stout trellised hedge column, at the right, as a ladder. More than $500,000 in non-negotiable securities were stolen.
