With a broad grin Mademoiselle Marvingt stands at the top step outside the plane as she clutches her bag to her side.
French air pilot Marie Marvingt has flown into Los Angeles from the east coast as she tours the country delivering lectures on her time flying ambulance planes during World War I and being one of the first female pilots in Europe.
