From left to right, Ruth Anker, Helen Bradley, and Lou Wade standing in a hallway. An emergency firehose cabinet is behind Anker. This photograph was probably taken when the three young women appeared in Municipal Judge Crum's court on October 16, 1935 as witnesses for the prosecution in the case against Ernest A. Thompson, who was charged with selling liquor to minors at 901 South Manhattan Place.
