An audience, mostly composed of men, sit in the background. Dr. Jacobson was under suspicion of performing an illegal abortion on a young woman who died shortly afterward. Jacobson was also accused of falsifying her death certificate, claiming she died of heart problems. This proceeding was inquest into the investigation of her death.
