C. Ivy Toms, late husband of Ruth Anna Toms, was murdered by William Edward Hickman and Welby Hunt on December 24, 1926. Mrs. Toms provided a detailed witness testimony of the murder on February 21, 1928 when Hickman and Hunt were on trial.
