This is a photograph taken outside Herbert Hoover Jr.'s residence at 1635 S. Los Robles in San Marino when he was moving in. There is a motorcar parked out front with the sign, "Nold furniture" which appears to be unloading furniture into the new home.
This photograph is related to the article, "San Marino to be Home of Hoover. Son of Presedent-elect Will Move to Southland Soon, Neighbors Predict." Los Angeles Times, 23 Feb. !929: A2.
