Polytechnic School is located at 1030 East California Blvd. in Pasadena. Text from newspaper caption: One hundred and thirty-five dogs valued at $20,000 were included in the collection of pets ranging from sheep to shakes, which were assembled yesterday at the annual pet and hobby show by children of Polytechnic elementary school at Pasadena. On the left is shown Beverly English with her St. Bernard dog Don. In the center is Hoover III, with a Boston terrier, one of two dogs he entered. Young Hoover, one of the prize winners, is a grandson of former President Hoover. On the right are Helen Main, 7 years of age, and her sister, Nancy, 8, with a white lamb entered by Jack Armstrong.
