Photograph of Carl L. Hyde, then secretary of the Torrance Chamber of Commerce. In 1930, Mr. Hyde had been elected to the post for the sixth time, as well as chosen president of the Southern California Secretaries Association at their annual meeting in Avalon, Catalina Islands.
