Mrs. Irish has a long list of achievements, which include being named Times Woman of the Year in 1957 and receiving a National Brotherhood Award in 1963. She served on the executive board of the Women's Committee for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and was the executive director of the Southern California Symphony Association. She was also President of the Women's division, Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and member of the executive committee.
