Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of Thirteenth district councilman Carl I. Jacobson taken during the trial against him for violating the moral code. The councilman was arrested from the home of a woman, and charged with resorting to a room for immoral purposes. He was later freed of all charges, and he protested his innocence by claiming that he was framed -- a claim that was later verified. In this photograph he is standing outside a door that a has a painted sign reading, "Grand Jury, Witnesses Only, Entrance." Handwritten on negative: Carl I.
