A float consisting of a model of the new Los Angeles City Hall in the form of a large white cake represents the Chinese residents of Los Angeles at the dedication ceremony parade. Banners along the float anounce, "Compliment from Bing Kong Tong". A man dressed as a chef rides on the float. This was one of the more popular floats at the parade.
