Picture of George H. Banning taken during his term as acting postmaster of South Pasadena when he proposed to credit the Concord Stage coach by having a design of the stage coach on a new issue of stamps. Mr. Banning, in collaboration with his uncle, Capt. William Banning, also wrote a book on the history of the stage coach - "Six Horses."
