Description

View of the west facade of the house and studio of painter Sheldon Parsons, a narrow porch beneath projecting wooden roof beams (vigas). Sheldon Parsons studied at the National Academy of Design and was a successful portrait artist in New York City from 1896 to 1912. He moved to Santa Fe around 1912, became a founding member of the Santa Fe colony of artists and changed from portrait painting to landscape painting.
