Mrs. Gertrude Enfield of the International Verse-Speaking Fellowship and principal at Fairburn-avenue school claims verse-speaking choir as a solution to the problem of mass education in good speech. The children of the choir are selected for their talents in voice and scholarship. A group portrait of the students lined up in two rows, all of them wearing dark smocks and white pants or skirts.
