Prosecutor Fitts is being charged with perjury in 1934 in connection with the testimony on financial transactions of the sale of an orange grove. At the front of the courtroom Fitts stands behind his team of legal defense, a crowd of men and women watching from the back. Text from newspaper caption: Courtroom scene yesterday as Buron Fitts, District Attorney, went on tiral on charges of perjury. Left to right, W. E. Simpson, Joseph Scott, Fitts, Jerry Giesler, W. O. Gordon, L. H. Lashbrook and Clyde C. Shoemaker. Giesler, Scott and Simpson are defense attorneys. Shoemaker is special prosecutor, Lashbrook is his chief investigator and Gordon his legal adviser.
