The Textile Building, undergoing modernization construction on the corner of 7th Street and Los Angeles Street. The building is covered with scaffolding. Several cars are in the street, and blurry figures of people are crossing the street. The Textile Building is at Seventh and Los Angeles streets in downtown Los Angeles. It was owned by Michael J. Connell. In August 1935, efforts to modernize the building began. The architect was William V. Kernan. At the time, it housed dry goods stores and textile factories. Handwritten on negative sleeve: 3288.
