A nearly identical photograph is captioned, "This House, an Elaborate Mansion of an Earlier Day, Still Attracts Wide Attention Through Its Judicious Display of Vines," Los Angeles Times, 5 Jan. 1936: 21
The side of a vine-covered mansion enters frame from the left edge and stretches back towards center. An unknown woman in black leans against the mansion's archway at left. A steeply-pitched roof slants upward as the mansion extends towards the right. The sides of the building are completely blanketed by vines. A brick-paved driveway stretches across the foreground.
A very similar photograph of the same mansion appears with the article, "Over-Coats FOR HOUSES," 5 Jan. 1936: 21
