When LaDessa Schaffnit was 15-years-old she attended a ball where she danced the night with King Edward VIII and was kept in his company on several different occasions.
Text from newspaper caption: Mrs. Peter Schaffnit of Westwood, who yesterday recalled that, as 15-year-old LaDessa Gibson, she danced nine times with then Prince of Wales, now King Edward VIII, at Coronado in 1920.
