Ida Schwab, later Mrs. E. M. Lazard (Ida S. Lazard), formed the Educational Alliance in Los Angeles on Temple Street in 1910, a social center for Jews. She was also the president of the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles, and vice-president of the Los Angeles Section National Council of Jewish Women.
