Lois lies in bed with her eyes closed while Esther sits beside her holding a copy of the Los Angeles Times.
Retired teachers and sisters from Indiana 94-year-old Lois and 91-year-old Esther live together at W.C.T.U. Lois is confined to her bed, suffering from complete blindness, and enjoys being read to by her younger sister, who is completely deaf.
