Dr. C. S. Howe is mounted on King Tut, a trick palomino. Howe is dressed in a charro suit. King Tut is draped in flowers.
Dr. C. S. Howe was an honorary marshal in the Rose Parade on January 2, 1939, and rode in the second division. He rode in the 1937 Rose Parade as well, with the fifth division.
