A medal presented to John C. Austin is viewed close-up. The medal hangs down from a ribbon that stretches across the top of the image. It is star-shaped. Within the star is some Arabic script. Above the star's top point, a small laurel wreath attaches to a small ring. It rests against an unknown larger, leather object.
