Hardly 30 days before he is to retire after more than 25 years of public service, District Attorney Asa Keyes was arrested today (Nov. 1st) charged, in an indictment returned by the County Grand Jury, with misconduct in office and acceptance of bribes in connection with the Julian Petroleum fiasco and other cases. The district attorney was released on his own recognizance, after appearing before judge Douglas Edmonds, who set the date of the arraignment for Nov. 8th.
