Royal W. Roberston marching for increased veteran's benefits at Capitol Hill. He wears a steel and leather neck brace due to an injury he received while training.
During the summer of 1932, thousands of United States veterans arrived protested for an increase in benefits. Royal W. Robertson was the leader of the Southern California contingent of the Bonus Expeditionary Forces, advocating for increased benefits for veterans with disabilities.
