Meteorology expert for the Guggenheim Foundation for the Development of Air Transport Dr. Carl Gustaf Rossby has come to California to survey the proposed route for a Los Angeles-San Francisco passenger and freight route.
Dr. Rossby stands halfway out of the cockpit wearing a flying uniform. A strip of tape is attached to one side of the picture with his name written as CARL, GUSTAVE, ROOSBY.
