Photograph of Myrtle St. Pierre, breach of promise plaintiff, in court possibly on the last day of the proceedings when the jury awarded her $5000. St. Pierre wears the same hat in a photograph published the day after the trial ended on July 10.
In 1932, Myrtle St. Pierre brought a breach of promise suit against David Hutton two days after his marriage to the evangelist Aimee Semple McPherson. The jury awarded her $5,000.
