Photograph of Dr. James A. B. Scherer, Director of the Southwest History Museum, standing behind a lectern and microphone in a wool overcoat at the Coliseum. The occasion is probably the sunrise Easter service that he participated in, 1927.
James A. B. Scherer headed the California Institute of Technology from 1908 to 1921, and was the director of the Southwest History Museum from 1926 to 1931.
