Edward Schlee and William Brock stand in front of the Bellanca J Pathfinder monoplane, "Rosemarie," (end of name on plane to right of Brock's shoulder) in San Diego, as they prepare to take off in an attempt to break the world's endurance flight record. They succeeded with a time of 59 hours 7 minutes.
