San Diego again looms as the local point of the aeronautical world on the eve of what may prove to be another triumph in aviation which may be added to the laurels of the city where so many aviation events of world-wide importance have taken place. William S. Brock and Edward F. Schlee, trans-Atlantic flyers, plan to take off in a day or so, in an attempt to break the world's sustained flight record. Schlee and Brock established a reputation for flying in 1927 when they attempted to break the round the world flight record.Photo shows the Bellanca monoplane in which Schlee and Brock will attempt to break endurance flight record.
