Police Chief Roy Steckel (left), in uniform, shakes hands with General Eoin O'Duffy, police commissioner of the Irish Free State. A framed landscape painting hangs on the back wall and Steckel stands besides an American flag. Eoin O'Duffy was an early member of Sinn Fein and an active member of the Irish Republican Army.
