Dr. Emil Bogan, pathologist at Olive View Hospital
Dr. Emil Bogan, Chief pathologist of Olive View Sanatorium, shown with a few thousand black widow spiders, killed by numerous methods attempted in the experiments conducted by Bogan. The most effective and practical means of destroying them is with a heavy spray of kerosene. This, says Bogan, is the least dangerous method for the layman to use.
