View of race horse, "Top Row," winning the Santa Anita Handicap race. Top Row is seen passing the tote board (totalisator) and crossing the finish line with 4 other horses following. The sign at the finish line reads "6. Feb. 22, 1936."
A similar photograph appears with the article, “Time Supply Gets Second; Rosemont Takes Third Spot. More Than 50,000 spectators see Baroni Horse Win $100,000 Santa Anita Classic." Los Angeles Times, 23 Feb. 1936: A1. The caption reads: Owned by A. A. Baroni of Reno, Nev., Top Row, 5-year-old horse ridden by Jockey Wayne Wright, is shown galloping to victory at Santa Anita yesterday afternoon before a record-breaking crowd of more than 50,000 fans. Time Supply (No. 18) is gamely trying to overhaul Top Row, while Rosemont is shown racing along in third place, half a length ahead of Azucar, last year's winner of the turf's richest prize.
