Text from newspaper caption: Time Supply Wins Race, Discovery Fifth: Time Supply Marches On--To New Track Record and Victory Over Mighty Discovery in San Antonio Handicap. Making a runaway of what was expected to be the most fierce handicap turf duels in recent years, Time Supply, owned by Mrs. F. A. Carreaud, is shown winning the $7500 San Antonio Handicap by six lengths. Alfred G. Vanderbilt's mighty Discovery, the handicap champion, finished fifth -- eight lengths behind the winner. Pompey's Pillar, a 27-to-1 shot, pulled a surprise to come in for place money, with the consistent Ariel Cross, third. Rosemont was forth. Time Supply, packing 116 pounds to 138 for Discovery, took the front position at the three-quarter mark and opened up a commanding lead. Discovery at no time was better than fourth. Times photo by Hugh Arnott.
