Photograph of a storefront building located at 1358 S. Eastern Ave. The location was the hideout of Leroy Anderson (alias Jack Williams), who attempted to kidnap millionaire San Marino banker Herbert D. Ivey. Anderson was wounded in a police shoot-out on May 25. He died of his wounds in early June.
Text from negative sleeve: 2704. Mrs. Steven Emptage and house at 1358 S. Eastern Ave., in which kidnaper planned to hold banker Ivy captive.
