The detectives kneel over items piled on the floor. The man in the foreground studies the soles on a pair of shoes, while his partner holds two pieces of a broken golf club in both hands. Additional golf clubs rest atop the pile, with golf balls, clothing, a trashcan, newspaper and pillow lying next to an unmade cot viewed at right.
