Mershon, director of the Torrance Symphony Orchestra, who, with the assistance of Mrs. Mershon, is preparing solo arrangements for the second of the series of six winter concerts to be given Tuesday at Woman's clubhouse. The orchestra was started by Mershon a year ago, with thirty musicians, a majority of them local residents. One hundred citizens are sponsoring the orchestra as a community project.
